We have now decided to take a first step to make the top leagues in Footballidentity more active. We will therefore open up for relegations of inactive teams in the top divisions (the 1A leagues).

This first season when we allow this we will only consider taking these actions by requests from users in the top league that is sent to fid.headgm@communisport.com. Next season we will only allow the National FIDAs to make requests like this and it can then be extended to the entire league structure. The rules that decides if the request will be granted or not this first season are divided into two categories:

Category 1. The team have 7 or less active characters (footballers or managers) where a character is considered active if the user has been logged in within the past 14 days and therefore considered active if it was more than 14 days ago since the last login.
Category 2. The team have more active characters but the majority of the users in the team has agreed that the team can be relegated. This means that the GM team will send out messages to all users in the team. The replies from the users must have been sent before June 13th 0.00 UTC. If no replies are given from a user then it will be regarded as it is ok to get relegated.

So the deadlines you need to know regarding these requests are:
The deadline to request a relegation of a team is June 11th 0.00 UTC.
The deadline for replies from the users in teams asked to get relegated as in "Category 2" is June 13th 0.00 UTC.

The team that will get promoted instead of the relegated team is the highest ranked team that is active that has not already secured a spot in the top division and who has not refused promotion. Playoff teams are higher ranked than the teams that should be relegated automatically from the first division and the teams in the 2nd playoff round will be ranked higher than the loosing team in the first playoff round. Only those teams may take the spot of the bot team.

If a situation occurs that is not covered by these short rules then the GM Team and the Admin Team have the full rights to create the solution that they believe is the most fair and best solution in that specific situation - including refusing to relegate the bot team.

EDIT. We have decided to make it possible for top three teams to take the spot of an inactive team in cases where the top league only have one active child league.

Let's hope the leagues will become more active and competitive!
