James Frost Why are active leagues, such as Greece 1A and Belgium 2A not allowed to create a full roster, when other leagues such as Ireland 2A have a full half inactive league based purely on timing? Basically I'm asking - why can't nations apply to have all teams unlocked?

Tom Gibson Why do predictions not give any decent credits back. If it was actually worth doing, i would play it but because you take 35% of all credits, you HAVE to get 12 teams right or you get nothing back.

Footballidentity.com We are actually looking into this right now James. Hopefully we will find a simple solution on how we can open some leagues fully in order to increase chances for them to become fully populated. This is now more interesting then ever given the new game portal partnership that is soon to be launched.

Carmine Cuono a friend has asked for the mass transfer (his league is inactive), as the mass transfer will be handled? He should take a team? Will then take all the players buying them? Or all of the team was transferred from gM?

Joey Wong I'm playing in 1A Aus and we've always struggled with attracting users to our league because of the time difference. Currently, 1A Aus and Indonesia are the big populations in FID from the Asia region. Have you thought about tapping into other Asian countries for paying users (eg China, Korea, Japan, Malaysia)?

James Frost Carmine - I can answer that. Your manager will do it, but he needs permission first.

George King Personally, and I'm not sure exactly how you work it, I feel the number of leagues needs to be reduced so that each remaining league becomes more populated and competitive. What you can then do is open up all teams in these remaining leagues to make them hopefully as active as possible. I think it is a case of less is more here

Footballidentity.com We are looking to increase the amount of FID Credits that are given to prediction winners for next season. However, no decision is yet taken on that one. We believe however that the system should/must be heavily connected to 12 correct predictions because if you can win too easily then the system may become uninteresting in itself. The whole prediction system is built on the fact that you can only win a lot if you manage to predict a league that is difficult to predict. Therefore we for example don't want to distribute fidc to 11 or 10 correct predictions if there was no winner on 12 because then it is better to have the FIDC rolled over to next week and make the pot bigger.

James Frost Rolling over would make sense actually, and would be a great solution. Maybe that would make things a lot more interesting.

Gianfranco Zola if player has train 5* on new position ( central forward ) and he is atacking midfelder is there any posibility that he goes on team training with strikers , and not with midfelders cause they dont need same attributes ?

Footballidentity.com ‎Simone, the game portal partnership is a very promising one that we hope we will be able to launch two weeks from now. We believe there will be tens of thousands of new users registering through that partnership in regions such as Brazil, Turkey, Netherlands, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Mexico. More than that I can't really say :)

Footballidentity.com George, I think with the new partnership mentioned all of our current leagues will be populated (and more). Hopefully the mass transfer actitives this pre-season will help creating a better structure for the new users to end up in suitable leagues. But I don't think we need to close any leagues (if we did not have the partnership on the way then I would have to agree with you though :) )

Footballidentity.com Joey, we would love to tap into the Asian market. Turn-based games are big in Asia as we know it. We however don't have any really strong leads on how to tap in there without having to put a lot of money up front.

James Frost Rolling over looks so minscule that I don't think anyone has ever noticed that. As John said, 35% is a HUGE cut. I appreciate you give 64 to League Experts, and need to take some back, but this is meant to be a community feature isn't it?

Simone Morelli Can we talk about partnership, but we Italians have found that in 15 days received some 270 new users. At least 200 of them have not even created the character. It was said that the FIDA could send a welcome message, which is already a solution, but now a new member is not encouraged to stay in or understand the depth of FID. Having so many members do you think automatically leads to having many users?

Footballidentity.com ‎William, I think your question may require an answer that would take up the full hour here because it has no simple answer :) I guess I can give you a short answer saying that FIDA will have to play a big part in that and that we as admins intend to work closely with FIDA to try and find a good framework for everything that may be required in order to make FID more accessible to new users.

Pedro Henrique In Brazil we have a "problem".. we have leagues that are TOTALLY unusable here, with no active user. What could be done for us to leave the league "smaller" and more competitive?!

Maarten Langenaeker You announced a while ago that the deadline for the FIDA pages would be 7 June. This was delayed due to the retaining new users-features. When can we expect the FIDA's to become official? When do you expect them all to be up and working? After Momentum and FIDA are released, what are your next plans? Will you start working on something big again that will take loads of time or start working on several small bugs and additions?

Footballidentity.com Actually John, I am not sure about this. We do not see it as such a massive problem since its the stars that matters and not the amount of thumbs themselves (so as long as you get 5 stars you will not suffer anything with regards to journalist rating from the article). Not allowing anonymous negative feedback when allowing anonymous positive feedback can be tricky but we are still open to revisiting this later on (when we can focus on these things more and not have big things such as FIDA and tournament center on our prio list) and maybe we'll implement some other solution for this.

William Key Fair enough. Considering the current messy state of the global league kickoff schedule, and the potential for more chaos once FIDAs are allowed to have say in the kickoff times, will the Admin take a proactive role once FIDAs are implemented to ensure a clean, streamlined schedule to remove the damaging effects of promotion/relegation?

Footballidentity.com ‎James, we believe that the first version of Momentum will be ready during the upcoming season (season 13). However, as you have suggested yourself in the forums we will have to be very careful how we deploy such a feature. As soon as we can we will make it available to the community through test center and training matches but it may be that we are not able to release it live before the 12th match day of season 13 and if so we may have to wait and release it after season 13 in order to not screw teams over when they fight to be at the top of the league when season finish.

Footballidentity.com ‎Giorgio, it is a very big question that will require a big answer as well :) And to be honest I do not know this fully yet. The framework for how everything will be handled will be written together with the community. First step will be to put International IFIDA in place where the community (together with us in the admin team) will work on sorting out the framework and rules for how everything should work in Continental and National FIDAs. We know that we will give NFIDA a lot of new tools but maybe not 100% sure on all of them (many will be built in version 2 of FIDA) but a lot will have to do with handling of leagues and of course handling of national teams etc.

Uyke Makana It would be nice to export some data in XML format (e.g. gridview data about footballers in my team or league matches) so as the community can build external client tools to generate statistics, and such. Any plans about that?

Footballidentity.com Actually Simone, you are touching upon one thing that is very important. We are making some small but important improvements with regards to character creation page and it is already showing an effect. Last update we for example made it so that new users are immediately navigated to Char Creation page when they login the first time (we see a big difference already with regards to ratio of users that register + create character). Next version (deployed soon with some smaller fixes to training matches etc.) will contain some graphical enhancements that will actually make a lot of effect. We have made some much nicer buttons that will make char creation much more attractive and we should not underestimate such things in this case.

Giorgio Lenzi Ok, so you open a post in the forum where we will face all to enter into a series of rules right? Then if I misunderstood you also want to implement the national right? One other question, the FIDA will also have the authority to decide the stops of the season?! I'll explain, there are festivals (eg Christmas) where all or most of the players of all teams are absent, not to offset the league might think of a stop of the season? This would be possible? If you who would decide?

Footballidentity.com Pedro, unfortunately we will have to leave all such actions to the FIDAs but this is one area in which the NFIDAs will have a lot of powers to do wonders for sure. However, in the case of Brazil I would not be surprised to see all leagues filled again in three weeks time (after partnership has started) :) Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Renan Campos In Brazil we made a u-21 league with experienced users and new users. We make like 10 teams but the salary budget is very low, the league is the 5b. Is there any possibility to increse the u-21 teams wage budget?

Footballidentity.com Maarten, we know we are delayed on FIDAs and it is very unfortunate. We will come with more information about his fact as soon as we can and give you a new more exact estimated release date. After FIDAs and Momentum we will work on FIDA v2 which will contain a lot of tools for the FIDA organizations. After this we aim to work on the Tournament Center which will enable competitions such as World Cup, Euro Cup, Champions league etc. It will of course also be a big task BUT we are also hoping that the financial state of the project will change within the coming months so that we can actually scale up our development team and start building thing faster than we have in the past... future will have to tell on that one I'm afraid but it looks promising to say the least and we have some big hopes on the big amount of new users coming through the door soon.

Wouter Vermeire I'd like to know if there are plans of making dribble vs tackle more balanced. Especially skillwise id like to know if there are any discussions yet regarding adding an extra special skill for dribblers. Currently tacklers can use 4 special tackles. Dribblers only have 3 special attempts in order to have a succesful dribble. I find it remarkable that dribblers are having a disadvantage where it actually at least should be even. I'm not even including the fact that dribblers often need to dribble more than 1 tackler in order to reach their target.

Footballidentity.com ‎William, we will DEFINITELY play a big part in FIDAs. Not only initially but the Admin team intend to be part of the IFIDA for ever :) so basically yes, we will work hard on ensuring that things get implemented in the best way possible for as many people as possible.

James Frost What Renan Campos has said is something that needs to be added officially. We need to protect our younger players from goal scoring whores who are 26 years old and are looking for awards and a high wage in an inactive league. Putting an age cap, or letting FIDA have the choice to, on some league would do the game WONDERS. Look at ANY half active league. There is some 26/29 year old player there getting 1.5m+ scoring 100 goals. It's bullshit, and as I can actually say it here - those players are cunts, and we need to protect the younger users and characters.

Footballidentity.com Yes Uyke, export tools and APIs is something that we would love to have but that we are very sad to have to leave lower down on the prio list for now :( We would love to have our community build a lot of different community tools etc. for FID but we'll just have to wait for that day a bit more (except for Jaanboy's FID+ of course!)

William Key Before we end there are a massive number of commonplace formations that are currently absent and impossible in FID. 5-3-2 with side mids, the christmas tree with 2 ACMs, 2 DCM formations. A) why are ACM and DCM the only positions that are unduplicatable on a FID pitch? and B) Can we expect more formations in the near future that will provide managers more options with their playing squad?

Footballidentity.com Actually Giorgio and James, we would be open to allowing each NFIDA to select maybe ONE match day that would be free from matches for each league during a season. But this is definitely something that is NOT YET decided. It would have to be discussed in a future IFIDA and also such a "solution" would have to show strong support from the total community. What we are saying is that we would be open for such a thing by then extending the season with one match day so that season can be closed at the same time as today, but need to feel that the community wants this for sure before acting on such a thing.

James Frost What William Key said about formations. If it's that the two dots will follow each other around the pitch, no active manager would ever pick that. There is only one formation with 5 at the back also, something that could be expanded on.

Footballidentity.com Wouter, nice to see you here even without the countdown! :) Actually, what you are talking about is currently not in our focus. Our focus with regards to ME is now momentum, something that will effect probably EVERY SINGLE ACTION on the field when we've implemented a 2nd version of it. Therefor the circumstances surrounding dribble/tackle will be changed by momentum and therefore there really isn't any use to focus on this now but instead stay true to our current roadmap.

William Key I'm not really sure what that means. There's a voluminous thread in which ideas are constantly added for realistic formations, and on top of that a month doesn't go by without someone adding another thread on the subject to the "Suggestions" forum. I think there are at least 6 or 7 formations that are commonly agreed upon should be in the game. If you're looking for an official list to be handed in, I'm sure it's something the KUG could do.

Footballidentity.com Sorry Juan Cruz, we wish we had that possibility but at this point in time we need to take one step at a time. First FIDA, then tournament center and at that time we will be able to have World Cup etc. Hopefully it will not be so far away in the future and hopefully the upcoming months will hold success for this project that will allow us to scale up our team and move faster on the things on our roadmap.
